Coach Chris’s Client Testimonials

It has been great to have someone who is committed to making progress through a clear set of principles of the sport. He makes decisions that are based on clear indications by training data which is brings an element to training that is very simple and level headed. Often times when self coaching I would change too much too often and chris brings a regulation to my training that has been beneficial. I think he is a true student of the sport and has good communication with his clients. Communication is better than previous coaches, as well as attention to detail. Often times I would send my previous coach videos and updates and he wouldn’t remember any of the numbers that I’ve hit in previous blocks. Something as simple as knowing a weight is moving better than previous blocks is some crucial in this sport where everything is detail and data.

While it’s only been around 3-4 months of working with him, Chris has been nothing but attentive to my progress and consistent with check-ins. He puts so much effort into learning about you as an athlete and uses all your input in your programming for what it is: data. Before making any major or minor changes to your program, he will always let you know what it is and why. Check in’s are always super thorough, clear and concise. I would definitely recommend Chris to a friend, especially if you are a very technique heavy lifter. He will teach you to make the most out of your leverages. My bench improved greatly in just the first block. Unlike my coaches in the past, Chris always answers my messages within the same day. Overall, Chris is very consistent in all aspects. I can’t say the same for other people I’ve worked with.

I've only been working with Chris for about two months now. He is VERY hands-on and diligent in checking up on me. He will remember the tiniest of details that I mention to him about how my training is going. I feel like I am consistently growing each week. I would definitely recommend Chris to a friend. One of Chris's biggest strengths is that he does a great job of balancing being a friend with being a coach. He can be serious when it's needed, but he can also joke around with me and comfort me as a friend when training isn't going my way. I know that if I ever go to him with an issue I'm facing in training, he will make sure that what I said won't be pushed to the side. Chris does Weekly Check-In videos which I've never had, and he makes sure that everything is updated consistently at the same time every week/new training block. He texts me a couple times a week just to check in. This level of maintaining communication is exactly what I needed.

Chris is an attentive coach who has a passion not only for the sport of powerlifting but also for his clients progress. He is always willing to adjust the program to keep me safe from injury and he is incredibly understanding when it comes to issues while lifting. Especially for beginning lifters I would highly recommend Chris. He knows what he's doing with everyone regardless of weight class/body types.

Chris has always been on top of his game when it comes to coaching. Him being an athlete as well, allows him to connect to what his clients go through. He always has a plan whether its present or the future, and that plan works. When asked questions, his answers are clear and concise. Chris has always been someone that I can progress with, whether it is a bigger wins or small wins. Everything always adds up and I can always look forward for progress while working with him.

Chris is the closest thing to God-on-Earth for me since Jesus. Jokes aside, every suggestion made has only benefitted me, every programming change made has only made me stronger, and he's fixed issues I wasn't even aware I had.

Compared to what I know about other local coaches, and even other online coaches who coach at the national level, the service that Chris offers is far superior. My training is sent to me on time 100% of the time. Chris listens to everything I have to say and values my input, whether that be holding me accountable with stupid suggestions or collaborating with me on steps going forward. It never feels like I’m just a number to Chris, I know that I am a valuable part to his roster, just like all of his other clients. I don’t see myself leaving Chris for any other coach. I would be doing myself a disservice. I know that Chris would get right into the coach/client relationship and get things going with a new client immediately. This is Chris’s passion and he always puts his best foot forward in terms of ensuring that all of his clients are satisfied. Whenever something needs to be addressed, Chris is putting 100% effort into addressing it in a collaborative manner. Chris has significantly better communication than other coaches, and values the TSP community as a whole. I can tell he pours his heart and soul into his work.

I came to Chris after about a year following random programs and not making as much progress as I could have been. Chris was able to structure a program around my strengths and weaknesses that allowed me to progress and PR my total towards the end of each block. He is a great coach that keeps me accountable and I know I can trust him to make the smarter choices in my programming that I might think to make myself. 110% would recommend he is a man that is serious about his clients and helping them progress in whatever aspect they are working towards and will keep them accountable and help them through their lifting journey.

September ‘22, I reached out to Chris for a structured powerlifting program to begin prep into my first powerlifting meet ever. I had a previous powerlifting training history being coached by friends and also self-coached. My progress came to a halt with these previous programs and I knew I had much more potential in the right hands. In these last 8ish months, I have put 37 lbs on my squat, 17 lbs on my bench, and 33 lbs on my deadlift! Also, in my first local meet in January, and CNats in April, I’ve gone 9/9 in both meets. Chris is very diligent when it comes to feedback and corrections when it comes to training. When I reach out to Chris about any barriers for a successful training session, he is very responsive about ways we can still be productive. I would recommend Chris to anyone who is looking for an awesome, incredible, extraordinary, amazing, magnificent, spectacular powerlifting coach. He has a shown passion in the sport, portraying his will to evolve his knowledge to foster success in his clients.
